General Rack Mounting Recommendations

Inst all t he swit ch in t he rack using t he rack manuf act urer' s recommended at t achment screws (not
provided). Always f ollow rack manuf act urer' s specif icat ions when inst alling.

Be sure t o accommodat e spacing requirement s when rack mount ing t he swit ch. See
Flow and Minimum Recommended Clearances" on page 21

Pre-marking t he holes on t he rack where t he swit ch is t o be inst alled can be helpf ul.

Use an addit ional person t o help lif t and posit ion t he chassis/ power supply assembly in t he rack
during inst allat ion.

To keep t he rack f rom becoming t op heavy, inst all swit ches t oward t he bot t om of t he rack f irst .

Use t he OS6865-REAR-MNT mount ing kit t o help secure t he rear of t he OS6865-U28X.
•
