Registering coded speed dialling
numbers and names
Use coded speed dialling to dial a fax number at the press of three buttons. A fax/telephone number can be
registered under each two-digit speed dialling code (00-99) and you can register up to 100 locations, with
each number containing up to 120 digits. You can also register the name of the party (up to 16 characters);
the name appears on the printout of the coded speed dialling list. See Coded speed dialling list, p. 8-9.
Follow the procedure below to register numbers and names for coded speed dialling.

Press [Function].
Press [Data Registration].

Use [u] or [d] to select TEL REGISTRATION.
Press [Set].

Use [u] or [d] to select CODED SPEED DIAL.
Press [Set].

Use [u] or [d] to select the two-digit code under
which you want to register the number.
• If a number is already registered under this coded speed
dialling code, the number or GROUP DIAL is displayed on
the LCD.*
• It is also possible to select a two-digit code directly by
pressing [Coded Dial] followed by the two-digit code.
Press [Set] twice.

Enter the party's number and name the same way
you registered them for one-touch speed dialling.
(See steps 5 to 8, Registering one-touch speed dialling
numbers and names, p. 2-12.)

To assign additional coded speed dialling numbers,
start from step 4.
To finish, press [Stop].
* To delete the name and number registered under the coded speed dialling code, press [Clear] after you perform steps 1 to
4 above.
