Loading paper in the multi-purpose tray ________

Follow the procedure below to load paper in the multi-purpose tray.

Open the printer cover using the printer
cover tab. (see p. 2-2)

Make sure the paper thickness lever is set
to m m (left).
• Do not set the paper thickness lever while
the fax is printing since this will cause
problems.
• The paper thickness lever should always
be set to m (left) for the best printing
results.

Fan the stack of paper that you want to
feed into the fax. Then tap the edge of the
stack on a flat surface to even the stack.

Press [Cartridge].

Raise the paper rest until it stops a a , then
move the paper guide to the left to match
the size of your paper b b .

Insert the stack into the multi-purpose tray
a a , and align the right edge of the stack
with the right side of the multi-purpose
tray. Then slide the paper guide snugly
against the left edge of the stack b b .

• The multi-purpose tray holds up to 100 sheets of 75

g/m
plain paper.
• Make sure the stack does not exceed the paper limit
mark (P).
