Flat tyre

Removing
Make sure that the key is in position 1 or

2 in the ignition lock.
Set the windscreen wipers to position II
X
( page 78) on the combination switch.

When the wiper arms have reached a ver-

tical position, turn the key to position 0 and
remove it from the ignition lock.

Press on both release clips in the direction

of arrow 1.
Fold the wiper blade away from the wiper
X
arm in the direction of arrow 2.

Fitting
Place the new wiper blade onto the wiper
X
arm.
Swing the wiper blade back onto the wiper
X
arm until it engages.
Turn the wiper blade parallel to the wiper
X
arm.
Fold the wiper arm back onto the wind-
X
screen.

Preparing the vehicle

Vehicle preparation is not necessary on
vehicles with MOE tyres*.
Stop your vehicle as far away from traffic
X
as possible on solid, non-slippery, level
ground.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps.

Apply the handbrake.
X
Vehicles with manual transmission
Shift to either first or reverse gear.

Vehicles with automatic transmission*
Move the selector lever to P.
