Printing Area

To ensure the best print quality, the machine allows a margin along each edge of media. The actual
printable area will be the area without these margins. By selecting Borderless Printing*, printing with
no margins is possible.
* This is available in A4, Letter, 4" x 6" / 101.6 x 152.4 mm, 4" x 8" / 101.6 x 203.2 mm, 5" x 7" / 127.0
x 177.8 mm, and 2.13" x 3.39" / 54.0 x 86.0 mm sizes of paper. If you are copying, you can adjust the
amount of image that extends off the paper in borderless copy by setting <EXTENDED AMOUNT>
under <PRINT SETTINGS>.
Note
In duplex printing, the printable area at the top of the page is 2 mm / 0.08" narrower than the usual
area.
If you print fully on the printable area outside of the recommended printing area, print quality or
paper feeding accuracy may go down.

When printing on Photo Paper Pro PR-101, Glossy Photo Paper GP-401, Glossy Photo Paper
"Everyday Use" GP-501, Photo Paper Plus Glossy PP-101, Photo Paper Plus Double Sided
PP-101D, Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss SG-101, and Matte Photo Paper MP-101 selection of
"Borderless Printing" enables you to make prints with no margins.
However, Borderless Printing may reduce the print quality on the top and bottom edges of the
paper or cause it to become smudged.
