Appendix
Basic Operation
Copying
For details about copying features, see "Copy, " in
the e-Manual.

Place a document.
Place the documents on the platen glass or load them
in the ADF.
–
Close the ADF after placing your documents.

For documents you can copy, see "Specifications, " in the e-Manual.

Enter the copy mode.
Press
[COPY].
The COPY indicator lights up and the machine enters the copy standby mode.
If you want to adjust the image quality, density and zoom

ratio:
See "Copy, " in the e-Manual.

Enter the copy quantity.
Ex.

Use

[numeric keys] to enter the desired copy
quantity (1 to 99).
The copy quantity appears on the right side of the display.
You cannot change the copy quantity while the machine
is copying.
If you enter a wrong number:

Press
[Clear] and enter the correct values.

Start copying.
Press
[Start].
You can make copy settings and scan documents even if
the machine is currently printing. The scanned
documents are processed after the current job is
complete. You can reserve up to 5 copy jobs, with
different settings for each job.
If you want to cancel copying:
●
Press
[Stop/Reset] and, when the <CANCEL?> message
appears, press
to select <YES>.

Sending Faxes

Place a document.

Enter the fax mode.
Ex.

Press
[SEND/FAX] repeatedly to select <FAX>,
then press [OK].
The SEND/FAX indicator lights up and the machine enters the fax standby
mode.
If you want to adjust the image quality and density :

Enter the fax number.
Ex.

Use

[numeric keys] to enter the recipient's fax
number.
If you enter a wrong number:

Press
to delete the number.

Send the document.
Press
[Start].
When you place the documents on the platen glass, press
select the document size, then press
scanning is complete, press [OK] to start sending.
If you want to cancel sending a fax:

Press
[Stop/Reset] on the operation panel.
When the <CANCEL?> message appears, press
select <YES>.
