Zooming

You can operate the zoom (up to 10x) using the zoom rocker on the side grip or the one on the handle. You can
also use the manual ring or the zoom buttons on the wireless controller. For zooms with a gradual start and/or
stop, use soft zoom control (0 66).
You can also use the [l Camera Setup]
approximately 1.5, 3 or 6.* Alternatively, you can set an assignable button to [Tele-converter] (0 97) or set
[J Other Functions]
[Custom Key/Dial] to [Tele-converter] (0 47) to activate the digital tele-converter.
* The image is digitally processed, so the image resolution may deteriorate.
Operating modes:

Using the Manual Ring

Move the manual ring switch to ZOOM and then turn the manual
ring.
• When you operate the zoom, a zoom indicator* will appear on the screen
that shows the approximate zoom position.
* You can use the [J Other Functions]
(0 107) to set the zoom indicator to a numerical display.
NOTES
• If you turn the manual ring too quickly, the camcorder may not be able to
zoom immediately. In such case, the camcorder will zoom after you finish
turning the manual ring.
Using the Zoom Rockers, Wireless Controller or
Optional Remote Control
When you operate the zoom, a zoom indicator* will appear on the screen that shows the approximate zoom
position.
* You can use the [J Other Functions]
