Adjusting the Focus

Adjusting the Focus
This camcorder features the following two methods for adjusting the focus.
Manual focus (MF): Use the manual ring to adjust the focus. You can use the peaking and magnification

functions to help you focus more accurately.
Autofocus (AF): The camcorder continuously adjusts the focus automatically. When using autofocus, you can
select Instant AF, Medium AF or Normal AF mode. You can also use the manual ring.
Operating modes:

Manual Focus Mode

Turn the manual ring to manually adjust the focus. The faster you turn the manual ring, the more quickly you can
focus on your subject.
1 Move the manual ring switch to FOCUS.
• If [MF] appears on the bottom left of the screen, the camcorder is in
manual focus mode. Skip to step 3. If A appears instead, the
camcorder is in autofocus mode. Proceed to step 2.
2 Press the AF/MF button.
3 Turn the manual ring to adjust the focus.
