Gain
The gain control adjusts the level of the video signal generated depending on the lighting and shooting
conditions. You can select automatic or manual gain control.

Operating modes:

Automatic Gain Control (AGC)

The camcorder automatically adjusts the gain based on the subject's brightness. If manual gain control is
activated, follow the procedure below to activate automatic gain control.
Press the GAIN button repeatedly until the A icon appears next to
the gain value on the screen.
• When you set the camcorder to full auto mode (0 42), automatic gain
control will be activated.
Setting the Gain Limit (AGC Limit)
When the AGC switch is set to ON, you can activate the gain limit to
prevent the camcorder from setting a level higher than a preset limit
between 3 dB and 21 dB.
1 Open the [AGC Limit] submenu.

2 Select the desired level and then press SET.
Available Gain Limits
Off/24 dB
21 dB
NOTES
• When you set the camcorder to full auto mode (0 42), [AGC Limit] will
be set to [Off/24 dB].
