    Preparations Preparing the Power Supply You can power the camcorder using a battery pack or directly using the supplied AC adapter. If you connect the AC adapter to the camcorder while a battery pack is attached, the camcorder will draw power from the power outlet.

The indicator will go out when charging is completed. If the POWER/CHG indicator starts flashing, refer to Troubleshooting (A 156).

After you turn off the camcorder, important data is updated on the SD card.

Additionally, closing the lens barrier can help prevent fingerprints and dirt accumulation on the lens.

Before making important recordings for the first time, make test recordings using the video configuration(s) you plan to use to check that the camcorder operates correctly.
