Repeat Steps 2 to 4 until all devices have been paired with the different
7KN Powercenter 1000 devices.
Note
Due to the conditional disconnection possibility of 3NA COM fuses and 5ST3 COM
auxiliary/fault signal contacts it is recommended to pair them with the first
7KN Powercenter 1000. If necessary, an additional switch must be placed for the power
supply of the auxiliary switch.

Time-Outs

5.7.1

Reclosing

If the SENTRON circuit protection devices with communication and metering function were
already paired with the 7KN Powercenter 1000, the connection is automatically re-
established after the devices have been switched off.
After reclosing, an individual circuit protection device connects with the
7KN Powercenter 1000 after approx. two seconds. If several circuit protection devices are
simultaneously reclosed, it will take longer for them all to be connected again (up to 20 s).
If a 7KN Powercenter 1000 is reclosed, the connection establishment can take longer. Up to
1 minute at full load with 24 terminal devices.
5.7.2

Pairing

The simultaneous pairing process of several circuit protection devices with one
7KN Powercenter 1000 takes place sequentially. Due to the increased data volume, the
pairing of 24 terminal devices can take longer compared to a single device.
During the pairing of one or several devices, a pairing timeout can be displayed in the app
after 60 seconds. However, the devices will continue (unlimited) to try to pair even after this
timeout provided the process is not terminated by the software.
Depending on the capacity utilization of the radio channel and depending on the number and
types of terminal devices, the pairing duration can vary. A single device can be paired in a few
seconds (< 10 s). In many devices, especially 5SV6 COM arc fault detection devices, which
transmit the most data in comparison, this can also take several minutes. A waiting time of
up to two minutes is to be expected, depending on the capacity utilization of the radio
channel.
