5.6 Commissioning several 7KN POWERCENTER 1000
Note
A specific order must be maintained during commissioning so that not all
7KN Powercenter 1000 devices radio on one channel at the same time, thus putting too
much strain on the channel and causing data to be lost. This is because the more radio-
capable stations there are, the greater the risk that individual data packages from the
different stations will be lost.
During the whole commissioning process, all 7KN Powercenter 1000 devices can be switched
with the associated circuit protection devices either all at once or sequentially. Channel
selection takes place as soon as the first communication-capable circuit protection device is
paired with the 7KN Powercenter 1000. All of the devices can be added to the app when
switched off, only then is the sequential switching on of the terminal devices required and
commissioning can be shortened by pairing 24 terminal devices at the same time.
The following steps should be followed in sequence:
1. Switching on all 7KN Powercenter 1000 devices.
2. Switching on the circuit protection devices, which are paired with the first
7KN Powercenter 1000. The fewer other, uncoupled protection devices are active, the faster
the initial coupling process will be.
3. Pairing the circuit protection devices with the SENTRON powerconfig mobile app.
4. Once all devices have been successfully paired with the first 7KN Powercenter 1000, they
need to be operated further for the next step so that the previously assigned channel does
not appear to be free/unused for the next data transceiver.
5. The next communicative circuit protection devices should only be switched on now in order
to pair them with the second 7KN Powercenter 1000.
