5.4 Post Installation Initial Settings (Initialization
Menu)
After mounting and wiring are completed, when the CAN bus/NMEA2000 network is
turned on, the FI-70 will start up. If this is the first time the FI-70 has been powered,
the [Initialization] menu is displayed. Set the language, units of measurement and your
ship type in this menu.
Follow the procedure below to set up the FI-70. After completion of this process, set
up Data Sources (See section 4.10) and IF-NMEAFI (See section 4.6.1), as neces-
sary.
1. [Language] is selected, press the function key.
The FI-70 supports the following languages:
• English
• Italian
• Norwegian
2. Press the software keys to select the appropriate language, then press the func-
tion key to apply the setting.
