For details on how to check if the Micro setting is adjusted appropriately, refer to [Image
Adjustment by Micro-Setting] in [Uneven density (Major case)] [STEP1-2 If the media
feed quantity is not correct].
"Reduce sticking" function can prevent the media from sticking on the platen.
Turn this function [On] when you use the media that easily sticks on the media feeding
surface, such as synthetic paper or a banner. When this function is set to [ON], the
rewinding operation will be performed before printing. If you use the media that does not
stick on the media feeding surface, turn this [OFF] to stabilize print quality. If you change
this setting to [OFF], perform the [Media Feed adjustment] again.
For more details, refer to the section of "Reduce Sticking" in the manual "Operating
Instructions".
2. Vacuum level is not fitting
[Cause/Technical reason]
A black line may occur if you raise the vacuum level after adjusting the media feed
quantity.
This is because the media feed quantity differs as the load of the media increases.
The following images describe the trend of the vacuum level and black lines.
As the vacuum level get stronger, black lines become noticeable.
* +9 is the strongest setting.
* Feed adjustment is performed at vacuum setting +2.
[Solution]
Basically, default setting is the best to get the high quality image.
If the media jams or floats, raise the vacuum level and perform feed adjustment after
changing the vacuum level setting.
3. Black lines appears with job printing proceeding. Also, the level of black lines will
change with job printing proceeding
Black lines occur, and the level changes as the job progresses.
