Install the Hood

19.
NOTE: All models must have a hood installed prior to operation.
1. Install the hood by sliding it into the slots on the lower edge of the cabinet top.
NOTE: To install the non-combustible fi nish material fl ush with the top of the hood, the hood must be installed before
installing the fi nish material. If fi nish material is installed fl ush with the top edge of the hood, the hood cannot be
removed.
NOTE: To install the hood after installing the non-combustible fi nish material over the black surface above the
fi replace opening, the bottom edge of the fi nish material must be 5/8" above the top edge of the hood to allow
clearance for installation and removal of the hood.

Reinstall the Included Barrier

20.
Reinstall any barrier removed before operating the fi replace. The barrier is designed to
reduce the risk of burns from hot glass. Do not operate the fi replace without the barrier
installed.
NOTE: All models must have a barrier installed prior to operation.
1. Open the control compartment door (Page 50).
2. Hold the barrier in front of the glass door and slide it up into the slots above the glass door and under the hood.
3. Slide the barrier bottom down into the slots below the glass door, securing it in place.

Install the Finishing Materials

21.
1. Complete fi nished interior wall.
NOTE: To install the fi replace facing fl ush with the fi nished wall, position framework to accommodate the thickness of
the fi nished wall.

Attach the Safety-in-Operation Warning Labels
22.
1. Attach the furnished safety instruction labels at all fi replace operation and control points (Page 44).
NOTE: The installer MUST ensure these warnings are properly attached during installation. The warning labels are a
critical means of informing consumers of safe operation practices.
