116 Seats and stowing
* NOTE Vehicle damage from non-
approved roof racks
The vehicle could be damaged by roof racks
which have not been tested and approved by
Mercedes-Benz.
Only use roof racks tested and
#
approved by Mercedes-Benz.
Depending on the vehicle equipment,
#
ensure that when the roof rack is fitted:
the sliding sunroof can be fully
R
raised.
the boot lid can be fully opened.

Position the load on the roof rack in
#
such a way that the vehicle will not sus‐
tain damage even when it is in motion.
* NOTE Damage to the panoramic sliding
sunroof when a roof rack is fitted
The panoramic sliding sunroof may be dam‐
aged by the roof rack if you attempt to open
it when the roof rack is fitted.
Do not open the panoramic sliding sun‐
#
roof if a roof rack is fitted.
In order to allow ventilation of the vehicle
interior, you can raise the panoramic sliding
sunroof.
* NOTE Damage to the covers
The covers may be damaged and scratched
when being opened.
Do not use metallic or hard objects.

Carefully fold the covers

Secure the roof rack to the anchorage points

under the covers 1.
Comply with the roof rack manufacturer's

installation instructions.
Secure the load on the roof rack.

Cup holders

Fitting the cup holder in or removing it from
the centre console (automatic transmission)
& WARNING ‑ Risk of accident or injury
when using the cup holder while the
vehicle is in motion
The cup holder cannot hold a container
