5. Press the SetU (Tear Off) or SetD (Top of Form) button to
select the values within the selected parameter until you find
the desired setting.
Note:
You can scroll the values by holding the SetU (Tear Off) or SetD
(Top of Form) button for a few seconds.
6. After setting the selected parameter to the desired setting,
you can either continue to make changes to other parameters
by pressing the ItemD button or the ItemU button, or exit
Default-setting mode.
7. When you finish making settings, turn off the printer to exit
Default-setting mode and save the settings.

Locking the Control Panel Buttons

You can restrict the use of buttons on the control panel using
Lock-out mode. When Lock-out mode is turned on, only the
Pause, Load, and Tear Off buttons work.
If you want to lock other buttons (or leave the Pause, Load or
Tear Off buttons functional), you can specify which buttons are
locked during Lock-out mode.
First see "Changing settings in Default-setting mode" on
page 97 for instructions on how to change the Lock-out mode
settings. Then follow these steps to turn on Lock-out mode:
1. Make sure the printer is turned off.

Whenever you turn off the printer, wait at least five seconds
before turning it back on; otherwise, you may damage the
printer.
