Using a Print Server

You can use this printer as a network printer by installing the
EpsonNet 10/100 Base Tx Int. Print Server 5 (C82434 ) in the
printer's parallel interface port. See the Administrator's Manual
packaged with this option for instructions on installation and
use.

Setting the IP address from the control panel

Follow these steps to get the IP address using the control panel:
1. Turn on the printer.
2. Press the Menu (Tear Off and Top of Form) buttons to enter
SelecType mode.
3. Press the ItemU (Font) or ItemD (Pitch) button to select the
Get IP address setting and set the setting to Panel using the
SetU (Tear Off) or SetD (Top of Form) button.
4. Press the ItemD (Pitch) button to select the IP byte 1.
5. Change the number for the IP byte 1 using the SetU (Tear
Off) or SetD (Top of Form) button.
6. Press the ItemD (Pitch) button to select the next byte and
change the number using the SetU (Tear Off) or SetD (Top
of Form) button.
7. Repeat step 6 until the number for the IP byte 4 is set.
8. Set the numbers for SM byte 1 to 4 and GW byte 1 to 4 as
you did for the IP byte.
9. Confirm the numbers that you selected for the IP byte 1 to 4,
SM byte 1 to 4, and GW byte 1 to 4 are correctly set.
