: Continue pushing the slide
control (1) home until the leg of
torsion spring (2) engages its
seat (3).

: Check installed positions of
torsion spring (2) and slide
control (1)
– see illustration.
The torsion spring (2) on pivot
pin (3) must be pushed over the
ribbed shoulder to ensure that the
throttle cable is correctly seated
– the torsion spring must locate
snugly against the handle molding.
Check operation
– Move slide control to "STOP-0",
the contact spring must operate
the microswitch in this position –
with an audible click.
– Install the throttle trigger / lockout
lever, b 10.1.1
– Check throttle cable adjustment,
re-adjust if necessary, b 10.2

– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.
10.2 Adjusting the Throttle
Cable
– Remove the shroud, b 7.2
– Remove cover from adjusting
screws.
The throttle cable must be adjusted
if the throttle shutter in the
carburetor does not open fully or
closes when the trigger is
depressed.
Make sure the throttle cable sleeve
is properly seated in the guides and
butts against the stops
– the position of the throttle cable
sleeve affects the adjustment.
Checking adjustment of throttle
cable
– Depress lockout lever on control
handle, then squeeze trigger as
far as stop and hold it there.

: Turn the throttle lever (1).
If the throttle lever (1) can be turned
further in the full throttle direction,
the throttle shutter will not be wide
open in the full throttle position.

– Release trigger on control
handle.
If lever (1) does not butt against the
idle speed screw LA , there are two
possible causes:
– throttle cable still under tension in
idle position or
– throttle cable is still and does not
return automatically to idle position.
Always replace a stiff throttle cable,
b 8.2, b 8.3.

: Adjusting screw (1) must be
centered in the tensioner (2),
adjust if necessary.
