Gearbox

– Remove the auger.
– Remove the engine, b 7.1
– Remove the clutch housing with
gearbox, b 4.1

: Take out the screws (1) and use
the lug (arrow) to lift the gearbox
housing (2) a little.
: Remove the gearbox
housing (2).

: Release the gearbox cover (1) by
inserting a punch through the
hole (arrow) and tapping it lightly.
: Remove the gearbox cover (1).

: Pull the output shaft (1) with spur
gear (2) out of the ball bearing.

: Push the output shaft (1) out of
the spur gear (2).
– Inspect the spur gear and output
shaft, replace if necessary – if the

teeth of the spur gear are
damaged, also check the gear on
the clutch drum.

: Inspect the ball bearings (1, 2)
and replace if necessary.
: Heat the gearbox cover (3) to
about 120°C (250°F) and knock it
on a wooden base until the ball
bearings (1, 2) drop out.
: Drive oil seal (4) out of gearbox
cover with a punch (5).
– Check the gearbox cover and
replace if necessary.
– If the gearbox cover is replaced,
examine the guide sleeve of the
old gearbox cover and replace if
necessary.
