Clutch Drum

– Troubleshooting, b 3.1
– Remove the auger.
– Disengage the auger brake.
– Remove the engine, b 7.1
Inspecting the clutch drum

: Unscrew the nuts (1) and remove
the clutch housing (2) with
gearbox – always use new nuts.

– Inspect the clutch drum (1) for
signs of wear.
If there are signs of serious wear on
the inside diameter of the clutch
drum (1), check the remaining wall
thickness. If it is less than about
80% of the original thickness, install
a new clutch drum.

Removing the clutch drum

: Take out the screws (1) and use
the lug (arrow) to lift the gearbox
housing (2) a little – do not loosen
or remove screw (3).

: Remove the gearbox
housing (2).

If the teeth on the pinion shaft
stub (1) are damaged, replace the
clutch drum.
: Remove the pinion shaft (2) with
spur gear (3).
– Inspect the spur gear and pinion
shaft and replace if necessary.

: Remove gear lubricant from the
clutch housing (1) and use pliers
0811 611 8200 to remove the
circlip (2).

: Support the clutch housing (1) so
that the clutch drum (2) hangs
freely.
: Use press arbor (3)
1117 893 7200 to remove the
clutch drum.
: Use pliers 0811 641 8380 to
remove the circlip (1).
