WOK TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Constant sparking at wok ignitor
Intermittent sparking at wok
ignitor
Poor wok ignition
Wok does not ignite
Uneven wok heating
Wok is too hot

Possible Cause
Bad microswitch at burner valve
Bad DSI board
Arcing from DSI board to cover or unit chassis
Dirty electrode
Cracked or damaged electrode
Bad microswitch at burner valve
Arcing at cut or splice in electrode wire
Bad spark module
Cracked or damaged electrode
Incorrect orifice size
Blockages in elbow or orifice
Incorrect gas pressure
Bent orifice holder
Incorrect gas type
Bad microswitch at burner valve
Loose or bad wiring connection
Bad ignitor
Bad DSI board
No power to the unit.
No gas flow
Short to DSI board cover or unit chassis
Solenoid is closed
Unit is not level
Wok grate is incorrectly installed
Incorrect orifice
Test/Action
Replace the microswitch.
Replace the DSI board.
Check for breaks in insulation.
Clean debris from the electrode.
Replace the electrode.
Replace the microswitch.
Replace the electrode.
Replace the spark module.
Replace the electrode.
Check the orifice stamp number. Replace the
orifice if it is incorrect.
Clear or clean as necessary.
Check the gas pressure using a manometer.
Straighten the orifice holder so that the gas jet is
pointing straight down the elbow.
Check the gas type, and advise the customer if it is
incorrect. It may be necessary to convent the unit's
gas type.
Replace the microswitch.
Check all wiring against the wiring diagram.
Replace the ignitor.
Replace the DSI board.
Check the power outlet and circuit breaker.
Check the gas pressure using a manometer.
Visually inspect the DSI board wiring.
Verify the solenoid is not sticking.
Level the unit from front-to-rear and side-to-side
Verify the keyed feature on the wok grate fits into
the opening on the wok top plate.
Verify the orifice is correct for the gas type.
