SECTION 4 – OPERATING THE SAFETY LEVER
The Xyleject injection device is equipped with a dual safety lever system that allows the operator to engage or
dis-engage either of the safety levers with either the right or left hand.
The safety levers are located on each side of the device's handle grip such that the operator can reach the
safety lever from either side of the device. To move the safety lever, press and hold the safety lever button on
the right handle and rotate the safety lever on either side of the handle to the SAFETY ON or SAFETY OFF
(READY TO INJECT) position.
During periods when the operator is changing locations or otherwise not administering injections, it is
recommended to place the injection device safety lever in the SAFETY ON position. Even in the SAFETY ON
position, it is recommended to always point the injection device in a safe direction and use caution to avoid
injury from the Conical Needle.
