SECTION 15 – TROUBLESHOOTING THE INJECTION DEVICE
If the injection device is not dispensing product, check the following:
o Is the device "primed" (i.e. was all air purged from the fluid path during the priming
process)?
o If the device is not primed, refer to the priming instructions in Section 8.
o Does the pressure gauge show sufficient pressure (50 PSI)? If not,
o Check that the Pneumatic Hose is securely attached to the CO
o Check that the CO
o Check that the CO
o Can you depress the trigger easily? Is there a blockage of the orifices of the Conical
Needle?
Note: In examining the Conical Needle, DO NOT bring it close to your eyes!
If the orifices of the Conical Needle are blocked, then
replace the needle.
If the orifices are not blocked, observe the Injection
Indication Window to see if the pneumatic piston is
traveling forward. An alternative injection location may
be necessary.
o Is the Medicine Piston O-ring damaged?
o If so, see "Replacing the Medicine Piston O-ring" in Section 14.
If the device is leaking, check the following:
o Is the Holding Compartment securely connected to the injection device?
o If not, finger tighten the Luer Connection.
o If device still leaks, switch to a new Holding Compartment.
o If there is still leakage, switch to a new Luer Connection.
