Selecting the Sling

The style of sling selected is dependent on the type of lift to be performed. There are a number
of slings for use with the Invacare Elf 127em:
For Use With a Spreader Bar Attachment
General Purpose Sling
Available in 5 sizes. These slings provide easy fitting and good support
for patients with some upper body control. Mesh option available
suitable for bathing.
General Purpose Sling With Head Support
Available in 4 sizes. Easy to fit to a patient in bed or a chair, providing
excellent upper body and head support. The upper section of the sling is
stiffened with 2 removable PVC strips.
Recommended for lifting from the floor and general lifting of the less
secure patient.
General Purpose Toileting Sling With Head Support
Available in medium and large sizes only. Designed for easy removal of
clothing for toilet transfers.
