ELECTRIC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
Check hand control and cycle to ensure smooth quiet operation. Lift
adjustment on all Lifters. Width also for those with electric leg adjustment.
Emergency lowering function (electric and mechanical)
Check for wear or deterioration. (IF DAMAGED, RETURN TO FACTORY)
Inspect hardware on mast and boom.
Remove dust and dirt from actuator with cloth
Repack actuator clevis' with grease. (Top and bottom actuator bolts must not
be over tightened – the actuator must be able to pivot on the bolt without
resistance. Ensure original side packing washers are replaced after regreasing.)
Wipe actuator shaft with oiled rag (DO NOT use lubricants such as WD40 or RP7)
BOOM
Check all hardware and swivel bar supports.
Inspect for bends or deflections
Inspect bolted joints of boom for wear
Inspect to ensure that the boom is centred between the base legs.
SWIVEL BAR (Spreader Bar or Pivot Frame)
Check the bolt / hooks for wear or damage.
Check sling hooks for wear or deflection.
Remove bolt and regrease – do not over tighten bolt
Check mast to boom attachment – remove bolt and regrease pivot bush
– retighten bolt tight
SLINGS AND HARDWARE
CHECK ALL SLING ATTACHMENTS each time it is used to ensure
proper connection and patient safety.
Inspect sling material for wear
Inspect straps for wear.
CLEANING
Whenever necessary. Clean with mild soap and water and remove any
adhesive tape marks with eucalyptus oil.
SHIFTER HANDLE (Manual Leg Adjustment Only)
Operates smoothly.
Locks adjustable base whenever engaged.
ON COMPLETION OF CHECK or SERVICE
Arrange repair/replacement of any faulty parts
Complete and sign log book

A Major Service undertaken by an authorised service agent every 12 months is a minimum requirement.
NOTE: For individual home use, a full inspection is required prior to each new user.
Regular cleaning will reveal loose or worn parts, enhance smooth operation and extend the life expectancy of the lift.
If applicable, an annual load test (maximum load) to 125% of the Safe Working Load is required for CE mark maintenance.
