The actuator is fitted with several safety features:
• Mechanical splines inside the shaft ensure that the
actuator can never be used in a pull application and
therefore crush or squeeze an object.
• An Internal brake prevents the actuator creeping down.
• In the event of a functional failure of the main lifting nut
inside the shaft, a safety nut is fitted as a back up.
• By pulling the Red Release Mechanism up, the patient
may be lowered. This is an additional safety feature in
the event of total power loss.
The speed at which a patient is lowered is determined
by their weight. The mechanism can be adjusted for
descent rate by an authorised agent.
Designed to be fixed to a wall, the recharging station
offers an alternative charging system, ideal for continuous
lifter use in institutions. Recharging can now be done at
a more suitable location, other than just where the lifter is
stored.
The recharging station will recharge a battery pack in a
matter of hours. An indicator light shows the status of the
battery pack during the recharging cycle.
