The wiper operates only when the ignition
switch is in the "ON" position.
! Windshield wipers (models with
automatic rain sensing windshield
wipers)
MIST: Mist (for a single wipe)
OFF: Off
AUTO: Automatic operation
LO: Low speed
HI: High speed
To turn the wipers on, push the wiper
control lever down. With the wiper switch
in the "AUTO" position, the wipers operate
automatically when the rain sensor de-
tects falling rain. The wiper timing is
automatically adjusted depending on the
amount of rain.
To turn the wipers off, return the lever to
the "OFF" position.
For a single wipe of the wipers, push the
lever up. The wipers operate until you
release the lever.
NOTE
The automatic adjusting mode of the
wiper timing can be changed from the
rain-sensing mode to the vehicle speed
interlocking mode. The setting can be
changed by a SUBARU dealer. For
more details, we recommend that you
contact a SUBARU dealer.
! Rain sensor
The rain sensor is on the windshield glass.
Instruments and controls
! Sensor sensitivity control
Turn the dial to adjust the sensitivity of the
rain sensor. Turn the dial to the "+" side to
increase the sensitivity. Turn the dial to the
"−" side to decrease the sensitivity.
