3.1 Solaris OS
3.1.2.2 For SE0X7F21X or SE0X7F22X
When the LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2 is used with single-channel 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel cards (SE0X7F21X) or
dual-channel 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel cards (SE0X7F22X), operations are performed with the OS standard device
driver.
3.1.2.3 For SE0X7F31X or SE0X7F32X
When the LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2 is used with single-channel 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel cards (SE0X7F31X) or
dual-channel 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel cards (SE0X7F32X), operations are performed with the OS standard device
driver.
3.1.2.4 For SP1X7FAA2F or SP1X7FBA2F
When the LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2 is used with dual-channel 16Gbit/s Fibre Channel cards (SP1X7FAA2F or
SP1X7FBA2F), operations are performed with the OS standard device driver.
3.1.3

Device Drivers

3.1.3.1 Driver Patches
Before using the LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2, make sure to apply the following st driver patches. Note that the
Solaris 11 OS does not require st driver patches.

To use IBM Spectrum Protect as the backup software, use the IBM Spectrum Protect device driver (TSM device
driver) instead of the st driver. For more details about how to install and set up the driver, refer to the
relevant software manuals.
