Notes on Using Batch Files or Shell Scripts

When multiple backup/restore operations are executed at the same time by using batch files or shell scripts,
the LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2 may become busy due to multiple NetBackup robot operations. This may cause
any backup/restore operations to fail. Use of the NetBackup Administration Console is recommended for
multiple backup/restore execution.
To execute multiple backup/restore operations at the same time by using batch files or shell scripts, set an
interval after a mount operation or an unmount operation is complete. The recommended guideline for the
time to set as the interval after a mount operation or an unmount operation is the total number of tape drives
multiplied by 120 (in seconds). To set the interval, use the sleep operation or another operation.
