Chapter 2

Setting the LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2

This chapter describes the necessary LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2 settings to use the LT20 S2/LT40 S2/LT60 S2
from backup software.
Use the operator panel to perform the settings that are described below. For more details about how to use
the operator panel, refer to "FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS LT20 S2 LTO Library Installing, Starting Up and
Maintaining" or "FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS LT40 S2/LT60 S2 LTO Library Installing, Starting Up and
Maintaining".

Settings for SAS Connections

No setting is required for SAS models.
2.2

Settings for Fibre Channel Connections

This section explains how to set up the drives for Fibre Channel connections.
2.2.1

Setting the Link Speed

For the link speed of a drive path, 2Gbit/s, 4Gbit/s, or 8Gbit/s can be selected.
For more details about the settings, refer to "FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS LT20 S2 LTO Library Installing, Starting
Up and Maintaining" or "FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS LT40 S2/LT60 S2 LTO Library Installing, Starting Up and
Maintaining".
Although "Automatic" can be selected, select one of the fixed values according to the FC switch or the HBA of
the connection destination that is used.
