Adding a Connecting Device

Devices (servers, power synchronized units, and ETERNUS DX/AF storage systems) that are to be power synchro-
nized can be added during system operation.
This chapter explains how to connect a power synchronized unit when these devices are added.
Make sure to check
before adding a device.

Connection Procedure When Adding a Server

This section describes how to connect the power synchronized unit to synchronize power with an added server.
For details about server installation, connection, and settings, refer to the manual provided with the server.
Procedure

Connect the server UPS unit for the added server to the power synchronized unit.
An example of a connection between server UPS units and a power synchronized unit is shown below.

When two or more servers are added, use the AC sensor units to connect the server UPS units
for the added servers to the power synchronized unit.
An example of connecting AC sensor units, server UPS units, and a power synchronized unit is shown
