5. One of the items in the device tree will be CDROM. Click on the + sign next to the
CDROM item to expand the tree for that item.
6. The expanded tree will show the device identified by the manufacturer or model.
Click on it to select the device.
7. Click on the Properties button near the bottom of the window. Then click on the
Settings tab.
8. Uncheck the Disconnect and Auto insert notification boxes. Check the Sync data
transfer box.
9. Verify that the only box checked is the Sync data transfer.
10. Click on OK to close the window and save the settings.
11. Click on OK in the System Properties window to close the window and save the
settings.
12. A message will appear asking you if you want to restart your computer now. Click
on NO.
13. Close the Control Panel window by clicking on the X in the upper right corner.
14. Restart the Intellex by clicking on Start, Shutdown. Select the Restart option and
click on OK.
15. The unit will restart and the Intellex application will begin.
After the initial driver installation it is possible to connect and disconnect the USB
CD-RW drive to or from the Intellex unit without exiting the Intellex application
software. There will be a warning message each time that the drive is disconnected.
Click on OK to close the warning message.
Intellex USB/RS-232 4-Port Expander-RDVEXP01
The Intellex USB/RS-232 4-Port Expander can be used to add serial ports to the
Intellex for the recording of text data.
If the USB Port Expander drivers are already installed in Intellex
DV8000 and DV16000 units with product codes D80024x-xxx and D60024x-xxx
already have the USB port expander drivers installed.
Installation
Insert the USB cable of the port expander into one of the USB connectors in the rear of
the Intellex. It is not necessary to exit Intellex.
