intensity on the CCU side is transmitted with the IIC signal that is output from the optical module, and the light receiving
intensity on the camera side is transmitted to the CCU with the command communication from the camera.
• Serial data receiving circuit
The optical signal sent from the camera adapter is converted to electrical signal by the optical module on the AT-191
board, and the converted electrical signal is input to the transmission signal processing circuit (IC1000). Serial/
parallel conversion and 10b/8b conversion are made for the input serial signal, and the converted signal is separated
to camera video signal, audio signal, trunk signal, intercom signal (CAM to CCU), and command signal (CAM to
CCU). Separated various signals are sent to the DPR-337F board and the command signal (CAM to CCU) is
processed in IC1000.
• Serial data sending circuit
Return video signal, prompter video signal, and intercom signal (CCU to CAM) from the DPR-337F board is input
to the transmission signal processing circuit (IC1000) on the AT-191 board.
Input various signals are superimposed with the command signal (CCU to CAM) in IC1000 as an HD-SDI signal.
Then 8b/10b conversion and parallel/serial conversion are made for the HD-SDI signal, and the converted signal
is converted to an optical signal by the optical module and the optical signal is sent to the camera.
Video signal processing circuit
The video signal processing circuit processes the camera video signals (parallel data) restored in the receiver circuit
above in accordance with usage such as down-conversion. This circuit is divided into a main-line channel to output each
video signal to the rear panel and a return channel to apply cable correction processing to the VBS return video and
VBS prompter signals from the rear panel and send the processed signals to the camera.
Main-line channel video signals
After the main-line channel video signals sent from AT-191 board are output from the video signal processor (IC601),
the following processing is performed according to each output.
• SDI output:
The next processor (IC600) superimposes audio signals and sync signals, and the parallel-to-serial converter
(IC-809/IC810) converts the superimposed signal to HD-SDI or SD-SDI signal. Then the HD-SDI or SD-SDI signal
is output from the CCU rear panel.
• Analog component output:
The HD-YPbPr or SD-YCD signal from the video signal processing circuit is converted to RGB signal by the next
processor (IC600) according to the output format setting and is then converted to an analog signal. Then the analog
signal is output from the CCU rear panel.
• VBS output:
The SD-YCD signal output from the video signal processing circuit is converted to VBS signal by the encoder
(IC1101), and the VBS signal is converted to an analog signal for each output of PIX and VBS. Then the analog
signal is output from the rear panel of the CCU.
• S-Video output:
The character data is superimposed on the SD-YCD output signal of the video signal processing circuit by the next
processor (IC900) and the superimposed signal is converted to an analog signal. Then the analog signal is output
from the rear panel of the CCU.
• HDMI output:
The audio signal is superimposed on the HD-YPbPr or SD-YCD signal from the video signal processing circuit by
the next processor (IC900) and the superimposed signal is converted to an HDMI signal by the transceiver (IC1000)
for transmission. Then the HDMI signal is output from the rear panel of the CCU.
Return channel video signals
The following processing is applied to each of the return channel video signals from the rear panel.
