The sustained data transfer rate and the burst transfer rate depend on the built-
in drive, and therefore see its manual.
The initialize time of the autoloader is defined as the time until the robotics
initialization and the inventory check complete and then the robotics receive
operation commands after the autoloader turned on. This time varies depending
on the number of cartridges in the AIT autoloader.
For this time, use the catalog value (40 sec (typical)).
Note
The autoloader reports the NOT READY status to the SCSI command until its
initialization finished.
The swap time of the autoloader is defined as the time required for the
autoloader robotics to return the cartridge ejected from the drive to a slot and
then to load a cartridge from another slot into the drive.
For this time, use the catalog value. (30 sec (typical))
The Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) of the LIB-D81 is 30 minutes. Since at the
field level the entire drive is considered a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) the
time to replace the drive with a new one is less that 30 minutes.
The specified life of the LIB-D81 is 5 years average.
