Table 8.16.2 : Error codes 70h and 71h sense data format
Because the autoloader does not support the Information field, the Valid bit is
always 0.
Because the autoloader does not support the Segment Number field and ILI bit,
they are always 0.
The Sense Key, Additional Sense Code, and Additional Sense Code Qualifier
provide information hierarchically. The imposition of this hierarchy is such that
the information relating to error occurrences or the like can be distinguished
more finely in sequence from the top of the hierarchy. The Sense Key indicates
the category of the error or the like that occurred. The Additional Sense Code
provides more details than the Sense Key. The Additional Sense Code Qualifier
provides even more details information than the Additional Sense Code.
The Sense Key field is necessary and when an error or the like occurs, the Sense
Key is generated. The Sense Key is specified in table 8.16.2.1.
The Additional Sense Length field indicates the number of subsequently
transferred Additional Sense bytes. If the Allocation Length in the CDB is less
than the total Additional Sense bytes to be transferred, the Additional Sense
Length is never adjusted to correspondingly.
The Additional Sense Code (ASC) field contains detailed information relating
to errors or the like returned in the Sense Key field. The autoloader supports the
Additional Sense Code field. A list of Additional Sense Codes is specified in
table 8.16.2.1. When the autoloader has no detailed information to be returned
relating to errors or the like, the Additional Sense Code is set to NO
ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION.
The Additional Sense Code Qualifier (ASCQ) field contains more detailed
information relating to errors or the like returned with the Additional Sense
Code. If errors or the like can be returned by the autoloader, the values specified
in table 8.16.2.1 are returned. If the autoloader has no detailed information to be
returned relating to errors or the like, the Additional Sense Code Qualifier is set
to NO ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION.
