3-2-2. RTS Intercom Adjustment
Tools
. Oscilloscope:
Tektronix TDS3054B or equivalent
. Audio oscillator: Tektronix SG-5010 or equivalent
. Extension board: EX-854
(Sony Part No.: A-8344-228-A)
Note
This adjustment is described on the premise that the output
impedance of the audio oscillator is 600 Z.
Preparations
1. Connect the resistances of 200 Z between A19 and
GND, and A21 and GND of the extension board EX-
854.
2. Turn OFF the power of the unit, and extend the AU-
297 board using the EX-854 board.
3. Set the internal switches/controls.
(Refer to Section 1-7.)

4. Turn ON the power of the unit, and warm up the unit
for about ten minutes.
5. Input a sine wave of 1 kHz, 220 mV p-p (_20 dBu)
from the audio oscillator to 2-pin (X), 1-pin (Y) and 3-
pin (G) of the INTERCOM connector on the front
panel.

PROD CANCEL Adjustment
1. Set the switch S42 on the AU-297 board to PROD.
2. Equipment:
Oscilloscope
Test Point:
D17 (GND : D15)/EX-854 board
Adjustment Point: 1RV101/AU-297 board
Specifications:
A = Minimize
(less than 20 mV p-p)
ENG CANCEL Adjustment
3. Set the switch S42 on the AU-297 board to ENG.
4. Equipment:
Oscilloscope
Test Point:
D17 (GND : D15)/EX-854 board
Adjustment Point: 1RV201/AU-297 board
Specifications:
B = Minimize
(less than 20 mV p-p)
Settings after Adjustment
. Return the settings of the internal switches/controls to
the initial settings. (Refer to Section 1-7.)
