Introduction
This chapter provides information on how to maintain the 4349B. The 4349B maintenance
consists of performance tests and functional tests.

Test Equipment

Table 9-1 lists the recommended equipment for performing 4349B maintenance. A DC
voltmeter and a DC power supply are required to obtain the reference voltage. The voltage
calibrators listed in Table 9-2 can be used as a substitute for them.
Note
The reference DC voltage is required to test the 4349B current measurement
accuracy and resistance measurement accuracy. To obtain the reference
voltage, the DC power supply requires the DC voltmeter which monitors the
power supply output voltage, because the voltage accuracy of the power supply
is not good enough for the performance tests. On the other hand the voltage
calibrators require no DC voltmeter because of their much greater accuracy.
