10.4 Switching off the scarifier

● Release the motorstop lever (1).
The motor and scarifying
unit/aerator roller come to a stop after a
short run-down time.

10.5 Adjusting the working depth

The working depth can be infinitely
adjusted.
Adjustment range: 15 mm.
● Switch the motor off. (
10.4)
● Change the position of the scarifying
unit/aerator roller by turning the working
depth rotary handle (1).
Clockwise: Lowers the scarifying
unit/aerator roller
Anti-clockwise: Raises the scarifying
unit/aerator roller
Transport position: Scarifying
unit/aerator roller fully raised, it does not
penetrate the ground.
Notes:
– Always begin the scarifying/combing
process at a shallow working depth. If
the result is insufficient, increase the
working depth in steps.
– Blade/spring-tine wear can be
compensated by selecting a deeper
working depth.
– The deepest setting should not be
selected with new blades/spring-tines
as this can damage the grass roots
during scarifying/combing.

The working depth is dependent on
blade/spring-tine wear and the
ground. The scarifier is pressed
12
against the surface of the lawn
through the rotation of the
blades/spring-tines and through its
own weight: on softer ground, the
scarifier cuts deeper into the
ground than on a compact surface.

● Never aim hose water or high-pressure
cleaners at electric components like
switches, parts of the motor, V-belts,
cooling air guides, seals or bearing
points.
● Clean the scarifying unit/aerator roller.
● Remove dirt from the cooling air guide
