► Push the battery (4) up to the limit stop into
the belt bag (5).
A short beep will sound.
► Secure the battery (4) in position with the hook
and loop fastener (6).
7.2.2 Adjusting the Connecting Cable
The connecting cable can be fitted and adjusted
to suit the user's size and the application.

The length of the connecting cable can be adjus‐
ted by making a loop (1) and securing it to the
belt bag (3) with the fastener (2).
► Arrange the connecting cable so that it is as
short as possible without hindering your work.

8.1 Plugging in the connecting
cable plug
► Grip the socket (1) of the harvester with your
hand.
► Align the connecting cable plug (2) so that the
arrow on the connecting cable plug (2) points
towards the arrow on the socket (1).

► Insert the connecting cable plug (2) in the
socket (1).
The connecting cable plug (2) engages in
position.
8.2 Removing the Connecting

Cable Plug
► Grip the socket (1) of the harvester with your
hand.
► Grip the connecting cable plug (2) with your
hand.
► Pull the connecting cable plug (2) out of the
socket (1).
9 Switching the Special Har‐
vester On/Off
9.1 Switching on the Harvester
► Hold the harvester at the handle with one
hand – wrap your thumb around the handle.
► Hold the harvester firmly with your other hand
on the shaft – wrap your thumb around the
shaft.
► Press and release the button (1) with your
thumb.
The harvester accelerates and the rakes run.
9.2 Switching Off the Harvester
► Press and release the button with your thumb.
► Wait until the rakes come to a complete stand‐
still.
► If the rakes continue to run after a brief delay:
Pull the connecting cable plug out of the
socket and contact a STIHL authorized dealer.
The harvester is defective.
