Pump Capacitor Removal

1. Remove the circulation pump; see Section 050-4.13.
2. Use a socket wrench to release the nut on the capacitor holder.
3. Remove the capacitor.
4. Disconnect its plug connections.

Removing the Heater Pressure Switch

1. Remove the circulation pump; see Section 050-4.13.
2. Press the locking tabs to one side with a suitable screwdriver.
3. Disconnect the plug connections.
4. Remove the heater pressure switch.
Warning!
To avoid leakages, the sealing rings must always be installed onto the
heater pressure switch connection stubs.
Note:
Care must be taken not to break the retaining lugs when removing the
heater pressure switch. If these lugs break, then the heater pressure switch
must be replaced.

Speed Sensor Removal (MPEW Pumps Only)

1. Remove the circulation pump; see Section 050-4.13.
2. Lift the circuit board (PCB) slightly with a pair of needlenose pliers so that
it can be gripped by hand.
3. Turn the PCB 90° clockwise and remove it.

Removing the Drain Pump

1. Remove any residual water from the sump.
2. Remove the cover plate. See Section 030-4.4.
3. Disconnect the pump plug connections.
4. Open the safety retainer clip with a screwdriver (Figure 050-24, Item 1).
5. Turn the pump clockwise and release it from its holder (Figure 050-24, Item 2).
