Replacing HMI device

Requirement
● The service concept is enabled on the defective HMI device.
● A replacement device of the same type is available.
Procedure
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the HMI device.
2. Remove the defective HMI device.
3. Mount the replacement device.
4. Switch on the power supply of the replacement device.
5. Insert the system memory card of the defective HMI device in the corresponding slot of
6. Confirm the "Use system card?" prompt asking you to enable the service concept.
Result
The service concept is enabled. The data on the system memory card are continually
updated automatically.

The slot for the system memory card is enabled on the replacement device (factory
state).
If required, check the setting in the Control Panel under "OP Properties", "System Card"
tab, see section "Disabling the service concept (Page 64)".

The content of the system memory card is copied into the internal memory of the HMI
device. The HMI device is then restarted.
Note
No prompt in the event of a defective system memory card
If the system memory card is defective, the "Use system card?" prompt is not displayed.
Replace the system memory card with the system memory card of a different HMI device
of the same type. If no other system memory card is available, proceed as follows:
 Update the operating system and transfer the HMI device image of the defective HMI
device to the replacement device.
 Transfer the project of the defective HMI device to the replacement device.
