Commissioning the device
4.4 Configuring the device
Requirement
The Control Panel is open.
Procedure
Proceed as follows:
1. Open the "Date/Time Properties" dialog with the "Date/Time Properties" icon.
2. Select the appropriate time zone for the HMI device under "Time Zone".
3. Confirm your entry with "Apply".
4. Set the date in the calendar.
5. Set the current time of day under "Current Time".
6. Confirm your input by clicking on the "Apply" button.
7. To change between standard time and daylight savings time:

Result
The settings for the data and time of day have now been changed.
Alternative procedure
Alternatively, you can also switch between standard time and daylight savings time while the
project is running. To do this, configure the "SetDaylightSavingTime" system function on the

The time of day shown under "Current Time" is adjusted correspondingly to the selected
time zone.
The values you have set are now in effect.
– Select "Daylight savings time currently in effect" to switch from standard time to
daylight savings time.
– Clear "Daylight savings time currently in effect" to switch from daylight savings time to
standard time.
– Confirm your entry with "Apply".
The time is moved forward one hour (daylight savings time) or back one hour
(standard time).
