Using an external device operation mode

You can use [Device operation mode] to operate an externally connected device (PC) on the touch panel of the display.

Preparation

Connect the PC and the TOUCH (USB) terminal on the front of the display with a
USB cable.
Correctly plug the USB connector into the TOUCH (USB) terminal.

Switching to device operation mode
Two methods are available:
1. Automatic detection mode
When a PC is connected to the TOUCH (USB) terminal on the front, [Device operation mode] is automatically
set.
When [Setup] - [Device operation mode settings] - [Auto setting] is set to [On] and if a device is plugged to the
TOUCH (USB) terminal, [Device operation mode] is automatically set.

● Device detectable: Only the device connected to the TOUCH (USB) terminal on the front is detected.

Operation in device operation mode: All on-screen menus and WhiteBoard menus are deleted, and the
icon indicating that this unit is in device operation mode is displayed. (see page 76)
By setting the input connected to the device through [Setup] - [Device operation mode settings] - [Auto
input change setting], input switching will be conducted when the device is detected.
Auto input change setting: Off (no switching) / HDMI1 / HDMI2 / HDMI3 / DisplayPort / DVI-D / PC
When the device is disconnected from the TOUCH (USB) terminal in device operation mode, this unit
switches to regular mode and the on-screen menus and WhiteBoard menus are displayed. (see page 76)
2. Manual switching
Switch to [Device operation mode] manually. Two methods are available:
Method 1 Tap a button on the Control menu.
Method 2 Tap the [PC operation] button on the WhiteBoard main menu.
Any Control menu / WhiteBoard operation sets device operation mode.
With manual switching, device operation mode is set when you perform an operation.

In device operation mode, the icon indicating the operation mode is displayed and the on-screen menus
and WhiteBoard menus are deleted.
