"P" (Parking) POSITION
When parking the motorcycle, lock
the steering and turn the key to the
"P" position. The key can now be
removed and the position light and
taillight will remain lit and the steering
will be locked. This position is for
night time roadside parking . to
increase visibility. Hazard warning
light can be used in this position.

WARNING
Turning the ignition switch to the
"P" {PARKING) or "LOCK" posi-
tion while the motorcycle is mov-
ing can be hazardous. Moving the
motorcycle while the steering is
locked can be hazardous. You
could lose your balance and fall,
or you could drop the motorcycle.
Stop the motorcycle and place it
on the side stand "or center
stand" before locking the steering.
Never attempt to move the motor-
cycle when the steering is locked.
The key hole can be
covered
by turn-
ing the lid.
Align the lid hole position with the key
hole position when inserting the key.

When the ignition switch is turned to
the "ON" position, tachometer needle
moves
to the full scale position and
return to the home position. LCD dis-
plays all segments for 0.5 seconds
when the ignition switch is turned to
the "ON" position to confirm display
function. Then speedometer displays
"GSF".
If the tachometer needle does not
point to zero, follow the procedure
below to reset the tachometer.
1.
Press ·the "ADJ" button

and
turn on the ignition switch.
2. Press and hold the "ADJ" button

for 3 - 5 seconds.
3. Release the "ADJ" button

Press the "ADJ" button
®
twice
within 1 second.
NOTE: Reset procedure, from step 1
to step 3, should be performed within
10 seconds.
