COOLANT
COOLANT LEVEL
The coolant should be kept between
the "F" (FULL) and "I.'.' (LOW) level
lines in the reservoir tank at all times.
Inspect the level every time before
riding with the motorcycle held verti-
cally. If the coolant is found lower than
the "I.'.' level line, add properly mixed
coolant in the following way:
1 . Place the motorcycle on the cen-
ter stand.
2. Open the seat by referring to the
SEAT
LOCK
AND
HELMET
HOLDERS section.
3. Remove the filler cap and add
properly mixed coolant through
the filler hole until it reaches the
"F" line.
Refer to the FUEL,
ENGINE OIL AND COOLANT
RECOMMENDATIONS section.

WARNING
Engine coolant is harmful or fatal
if swallowed or inhaled.
Do not drink antifreeze or coolant
solution. If swallowed, do not
induce vomiting. Immediately con-
tact a poison control center or a
physician. Avoid inhaling mist or
hot vapors; if inhaled, remove to
fresh air. If coolant gets in eyes,
flush eyes with water and seek
medical attention. Wash thor-
oughly after handling. Solution
can be poisonous to animals.
Keep out of the reach of children
and animals.
NOTE: Adding only water will dilute
the engine coolant and reduce its
effectiveness. Add a 50:50 mixture of
engine coolant and water.
CHANGING THE COOLANT
Change the coolant every two years.
NOTE: About 3300 ml (3.5/2.9 US/
Imp. qt) of coolant will required when
filling the radiator and reservoir tank.

Inspecting the Drive Chain
When inspecting the chain, look for
the following:
Loose pins
Damaged rollers
Dry or rusted links
Kinked or binding links
Excessive wear
Improper chain adjustment
If you find anything wrong with the
drive chain condition or adjustment,
correct the problem if you know how.
If necessary, consult your authorized
Suzuki
dealer
or
a
qualified
mechanic.
If you find any of these problems with
your sprocket, consult your Suzuki
dealer or a qualified mechanic.

NOTE: The two sprockets should be
inspected for wear when a new chain
is installed and replace them if neces-
sary
NOTE: The chain is an endless type
chain (no master link) for maximum
strength. Chain replacement requires
the swingarm removal. Trust this work
only to a qualified mechanic. Never
install a master link type chain.
