Switches,
Right Panel
OPERATOR CONTROLS, RIGHT PANEL (Figure 19)
The prum Single Step Switch
allows the
drum to move
paper in single-step
increments
(l /
1 OO-inch) in
either
direction. This switch
is
used in conjunction with the
carriage single step switch to permit
accurate alignment of
the pen on a point or
fixed coordinate on
the graph.
The Drum Fast Run Switch
allows
the drum
to
move paper
rapidly
up
or
down
at a rate of
120 steps per
second.
This
switch is used to manually position
the
drum.
The Pen Up/Down Switch
provides
a
means
for
manually
raising
or
lowering the pen in respect to the surface
of
the
drum.
The Chart Drive On/Off Switch
allows the supply
and
take-up spools to be disabled when plotting
on single
sheets
of
graph paper. This switch should be
on
when
using roll paper.
INSTALLING A ROLL OF GRAPH PAPER
1.
Turn power switch to
OFF.
2.
Loosen knurled knob
at
bottom of pen holder
and
lift pen assembly out of carriage
(A).
Use
care
wren
handling pen assembly
as
it is manufactured to close
tolerance for optimum performance.
3.
Rotate right rear
chart
spool by hand until drive key
(B) is pointing upward.
