1. Remove the ADF upper and ADF right cover (see ADF Exterior).
2. Remove the rear cover (see Scanner Exterior/Operation Panel).
3. Open the platen cover vertically (see Exposure Glass).
4. Remove the spring [A].
5. Remove the pin [B] (1 screw).
6. Remove the ADF cover [C] (1 connector).
