Cold water side
See (A) in the installation diagram (3.5 "Installation diagram").
1. When the mains water pressure exceeds the prescribed pressure (3.3.2 "General
specification"), fit a pressure relieve valve (1).
2. Fit an approved inlet security group (2) under applicable regulation (1.3
"Regulations").
3. Connect the overflow outlet side of the inlet security group (2) via an open connection
to the waste water discharge.
4. Connect a T-piece between the inlet security group (2) and the cold water connection
on the water heater for drainage.
5. Connect a drain valve (the drain valve is not delivered with the water heater).
Caution
An inlet security group is mandatory. Mount the inlet security group as close as possible
to the water heater.
Warning
It is forbidden to connect and stop valve or non return valve between the inlet security
group and the water heater.
Caution
During heating of the water heater (due to temperature increase) water will dribble from
the inlet security group. This is a normal phenomenon. This should never be prevented
of blocked. The outlet of the inlet security group should remain open at all times to its
surroundings.
Hot water side
See (B) in the installation diagram (3.5 "Installation diagram").
1. Mount the top flange (2" connection) incl. the sealant ring by means of bolt/nut-
connection (6x M10).
2. Optional: fit a temperature gauge (12) so you can check the temperature of the tap
water.
3. Connect the overflow side of the T&P (3) via an open connection to the waste water
discharge.
4. Fit a stop valve (11) in the hot water outlet pipe for servicing.
5. When a circulation pipe is needed, continue with the mounting of the circulation pipe
(3.6.3 "Circulation pipe").
Note
Insulating long hot water pipes prevent unnecessary energy loss.
Circulation pipe
See (C) in the installation diagram (3.5 "Installation diagram").
If an immediate flow of hot water is required at draw-off points, a circulation pump can be
installed. This improves comfort, and reduces water wastage.
1. Fit a circulation pump (6) of the correct capacity for the length and resistance of the
circulation system.
2. Fit a non-return valve (5) after the circulation pump to guarantee the direction of
circulation.
3. Fit two stop valves for servicing (4).
4. Connect the circulation pipe according to the installation diagram (3.5 "Installation
diagram").
