Chapter 1: About Avaya XT Telepresence

Avaya XT Telepresence is a videoconferencing system which is used to create video meetings with
a telepresence effect. A telepresence system consists of two or more endpoints which work together
to create a wider image, creating a simulated experience of participants being present in the same
room.
You can deploy Avaya XT Telepresence in a single row room hosting up to six participants, or a dual
row room for up to 18 participants (see
page 7).
The system can be integrated into Equinox Solution deployments or in third party video
deployments. In both cases Equinox Management and Scopia Desktop Server must be deployed in
the network, to connect between your Avaya XT Telepresence and any other telepresence system,
including third party systems.
To support videoconferences between Avaya XT Telepresence and other endpoints or telepresence
systems, you need to add a Scopia Elite MCU to the deployment
topology
on page 8).
